On our 11th year of Celebration

It is a delight to host “Tea Ceremony” every year with the beginning of fresh tea season. This year, Fresh Tea Ceremony was held on the 1st day of March at Gurinpia Makinohara.  The day was marked by the presence of His Excellency Ambassador of Republic of South Africa in Japan, Mr. Gert Grobler and Honorable Deputy Head of Mission,The Federal Republic of Germany in Japan, Dr. Anna Prinz. The event started with tea picking followed by factory tour, fresh tea sampling and lunch. We thank all our honorable guests for their precious time. We hope to serve our customers with the best of tea and services.

Tea Festival at Gurinpia Makinohara 2009

Kisakuen organized its annual tea festival at Makinohara tea plantations on the 1st day of March. The Premises were filled with His Excellency, The Ambassador of Sweden and his wife along with other VIPs. We all experienced hand plucking tea leaves to manufacturing of “ShinCha”, First flush. The ambassador said in his speech that he was taken back to his childhood memories of blue berry picking and also hopes to build a bridge of friendship between the two countries. We heartily thank our guests for their precious time and cooperation.
